A finalist for the Giller Prize, this is a quirky book about a good Jewish boy who gets caught up in the Inquisition in Spain, and the 'discovery' of America by Columbus, as told by his African Grey Parrot.

I found this in the Cypress Park Resort Inn (thanks, colleenk) on June 27, 2018. Kidnapped it and brought it to Toronto. It occurs to me now that I should have posted when I picked it up, but the whole idea was new to me.

Review: Pretty good if you like swashbuckling tales of Yiddish-speaking 15th century pirates, full of puns, wordplay, and cornball jokes told by a parrot. And who doesn't?

I released it today at one of those little book exchange boxes on a post on Oakmount Road in Toronto (opposite High Park and about 100 metres north of Bloor St. ).
