Seit Anschaffung meiner Packbackkarte setze ich fleißig gesammelte Punkte in Literatur um und gönne mir Wunschlistenerfüllungen.

4. "Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda"
5. "Den Mund voll ungesagter Dinge"
6. "Jules Welt. Das Glück der handgemachten Dinge."
7. "Dumplin'"
8. "Lies We Tell Ourselves"
9. "Geschrieben für dich."

20. "Zwei Herzen, ein Takt"
21. "Dear Justice League"
22. "That Summer Feeling"

Dubbed “Dumplin’” by her former beauty queen mom, Willowdean has always been at home in her own skin. Her thoughts on having the ultimate bikini body? Put a bikini on your body. With her all-American-beauty best friend, Ellen, by her side, things have always worked . . . until Will takes a job at Harpy’s, the local fast-food joint. There she meets Private School Bo, a hot former jock. Will isn’t surprised to find herself attracted to Bo. But she is surprised when he seems to like her back.
Instead of finding new heights of self-assurance in her relationship with Bo, Will starts to doubt herself. So she sets out to take back her confidence by doing the most horrifying thing she can imagine: entering the Miss Teen Blue Bonnet Pageant—along with several other unlikely candidates—to show the world that she deserves to be up there as much as any twiggy girl does.
Along the way, she’ll shock the hell out of Clover City—and maybe herself most of all.

Edit [19.07.2018]: I loved this book. Finally a story about a big girl - a character so many people will be able to identify with (including myself). It felt so good reading this during the holidays in a bathing suit at the pool - no more fears of showing your body in public after this! Every teenage girl should read this!

Finally managed to read it. Great book, fantastically written. But the story seems so unrealistic like a fairytale. I mean the thoughts behind it are nice, but that won't ever happen in real life. Nevertheless I like the end of the novel.
