This is one of three books passed to me by my friend and neighbour Blower this afternoon, unread and unregistered, after she'd been given them by another friend. I don't know when I'll get around to reading them but, if and when I do, and if I'm suitably impressed, I'll pass them back for her to enjoy as well . . . . although I have my doubts about this one, it might prove too thrilling for my taste . . . .

I got totally involved in this entertaining mystery starring, and narrated by, the honorary consul in Venice, Nathan Sutherland. It has a strong story line, a superb final chase, comes to a very satisfactory conclusion and manages to be quite amusing along the way!
