Born in Berlin in 1920 and raised by the same parents, one boy is Jewish, his adopted brother is Aryan. At first, their origins are irrelevant. But as the political landscape changes they are forced to make decisions with horrifying consequences.

This book has already got a few miles under its cover: it was originally picked up at the Melbourne Central Little Library and has since flown to Yorkshire and back (business class too!). Now ready to find new readers.

Enjoyed this book, and it was heart wrenching at times. Two boys brought up as twins by the same parents, but one of them is adopted, one is Jewish and one is Aryan. When the war breaks out irrevocable decisions are made that have serious consequences. An enthralling read.
