Thanks so much for this book. I look forward to reading it and sharing.
Theresa and Nora are sisters in the late 1950’s and are traveling from their farm in Ireland to start a new life in America. Theresa is the serious, older sister, while Theresa, a few years younger wants to live life to the fullest and experience all it has to offer. After arriving in Boston, Theresa becomes pregnant and the two devise a plan to save face. It is now fifty years later and a tragedy has happened and the sisters, who have not spoken in many years, must come to terms with each other and all that has occurred in the last five decades.
I found this to be a well told story, but it would have been better if told from start to finish, without jumping back and forth in time. I find when an author does this, as many do, the book looses it momentum.
I will pass this on to friends then make it available.
