About the Author:
Mary Kubica is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of four novels, "The Good Girl" is her dubut novel.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in History and American Literature.
Mary lives outside of Chicago with her husband and two children.

One night, Mia Dennett enters a bar to meet her on-again, off-again boyfriend. But when he doesn't show, she unwisely leaves with an enigmatic stranger. At first Colin Thatcher seems like a safe one-night stand. But following Colin home will turn out to be the worst mistake of Mia's life.

About the Book:
When Colin decides to hide Mia in a secluded cabin in rural Minnesota instead of delivering her to his employers, Mia's mother, Eve, and detective Gabe Hoffman will stop at nothing to find them. But no one could have predicted the emotional entanglements that eventually cause this family's world to shatter.

My Review:
I really wish I hadn't read the final few pages of this book. It was a 5 star ranking up until I did.
It sends the whole story into question, or rather makes it not stack up.
That aside, the book is gripping and a brilliant (hard to believe it is a) debut novel from an author I will eagerly await more from.
The book gripped me all the way through.
I have delayed voting in the Goodreads Debut Novel Choice Awards until I had read this, and the only reason it won't get my vote (missed by a cat's whisker) is due to that last chapter. I will instead be voting for Elizabeth Is Missing.
