He had fled from the terrors of his past, finding refuge in the quietness of the island. And for a time he lived in peace. Until the 'sightings' began, visions of horror seeping into his mind like poisonous tendrils, violent acts that were hideously macabre, the thoughts becoming intense.
I didn't really enjoy this, morbid and not particularly well written. I think I might steer clear of Herbert in the future. To be released at York bookcrossing meet at the Brigantes.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Picked up at the last meetup and read almost straight away. Not what I was expecting but a gripping story. Although I did work out the twist quite early. A supernatural thriller, rather than horror story.
Since this has been kicking around for a while now, in order to free up some space on the Brigantes OBCZ Bookshelf, I thought I'd move it on to the public bookshelf in the lounge area of Holgate at York St. John University - where hopefully it'll find a new reader...
