The third book, but chronologically the first, in her 'cousins' war' series. This follows the story of Jacquetta of Luxembourg, married young to a Royal Duke and the first lady of France. When he dies she marries beneath her position for love, without royal permission. But Jacquetta, favourite of a Queen in a difficult marriage, will not be long away from court and is quickly embroiled in the troubles at the very beginning of the Wars of the Roses.

Was great to find this book today totally unexpected š found just up from Calver crossroads across from the phone box. Out on a 13.5 mile walk from Baslow across several edges then to Grindleford and Padley before returning to Baslow. Beautiful walk and a great book reward š

I have seen the series on Netflix and decided immediately to read it. It made me very happy when I came across this book on internet...I enjoy reading it a lot...I plan to finish reading it this week.
