Atmospheric but depressing. Iris, an old lady, tells the story of the decline of her once-wealthy family and her sister Laura, who was always too open and naive to behave as expected. The chapters are interspersed with the writing that made Laura famous - a tale of lust, a secret affair, and pulp fiction fantasy.
