It gets extra points from me for being based on a true character and true events but I found the parts the author created to be a bit weak in parts.
I'm starting out in Vermont and I'll be passing this book on my niece and her husband when I visit them in Maryland.
Really enjoyed this book and found this even more true when I read the afterward learning how much is inspired by real people and events. Knowing far less about WWI than WWII, the alternation between the time periods as Charlie and Eve's stories unfolded was awesome!
Sharing this book with a co-worker who I hope will really like it!
