I enjoyed the first volume of this series about a little professor who's often mistaken for a child - but who winds up responsible for tutoring four young princes. I've been picking up additional volumes; got this online. (The manga inspired a 2017 anime that I definitely want to see. ) This volume follows Volume 4, though the series mixes episodic stories with ongoing plots and could probably be read out of order.

A nice mix of light-hearted and intense stories here, opening with the "Coffee" chapter, in which coffee-lover Licht tries to persuade coffee-hater Leonie that he really likes the stuff after all - some amusing scenes here, and the salutary lesson that one really can't tell somebody else what they do and don't like (but they can try to find a happy medium).

Another story features little sister Adele, who's on the outs with her pet dog and wants a new "friend" - from the local zoo. Cue many encounters with creatures great and small, much humor from the siblings, and eventually a really sweet reunion between Adele and her (very clever and protective) dog.

The heavier story here has to do with a news item about alleged brutality and corruption by princes Bruno and Kai during their stint at military school last year - but since it's clear that Kai's the last person to commit brutal acts (despite his sometimes-scary demeanor) we know something's up. Teacher resolves to help the boys fix the problem, by going to interview the student who claimed they'd been cruel to him - but it turns out to be a ruse to hold the princes for ransom! Much mayhem ensues, along with some comedy - the introduction of two bodyguards who do some fourth-wall-breaking about their roles in the story. We get more signs of the princes' devotion to each other, with some of them taking the prepare-to-be-king thing more seriously than others; there's more evidence of Teacher's serious badassery; and, at the end of the volume, there's a message from a nobleman who wants to Have A Talk, hinting at darker subplots going on.

Continued in Volume 6.

[There's a TV Tropes page on the series, with some entertaining tidbits.]
