Looks like I won the Sweeps! Many thanks for this Harobed82 you couldn't have made a better choice :o) The other day I was watching a documentary about horror films & it reminded me of how much I had enjoyed this book many moons ago. I was planning to track down a copy & now I don't need to - spooky eh?

I read this book, oh must be 30 years ago or more & loved it, so decided it was about time to re-visit it. I have to be honest it didn't have the same impact the second time round. It was a good read but not the chiller I remembered. That said it can't be argued that its a classic that on the whole stands the test of time well.

On it's way to the winner of the latest round of the Supernatural Sweeps - enjoy!
Thanks for the book. This one brings back memories. Both the book and the movie are among my all time horror picks. It will be nice to re-read this.
Like Plum-crazy, I first read it about 30 years ago and I remember loving both the book and the movie. They set the standard. It is still a great read this time, but it does not have the same spine chilling impact. I have not watched the new TV version. I think I should seek it out. This is a true classic and the modern cinematography would probably enhances the horror.

On its way to the winner (or decoy) of the 6th International Dental/Dentist's Nightmare sweepstakes. I hope you enjoy this horror classic.
This got here a couple of days ago, but I just now have time to help it call home. I read this many many years ago as a horror loving teenager. I have so much on my TBR pile that I will be passing it back into the world without rereading soon.
