I discovered the "Rivers of London" series via an audiobook of The Hanging Tree, and wanted more. When I found that there were graphic novels set in the same universe, I had to have some - got this from Amazon.
While the story in this book stands on its own, I think the book could use a bit more cast-of-characters/background-story information than it has; it'd enhance the story to know who the regular characters are. That said, it's a lively tale on its own, and all you really need to know is that this is a world with magic in it, but the magic is kept secret from the public (most of the time). This means that when the Falcon team is called in to deal with magical foes, they have to do so without making it too obvious to the muggles - er, the mundanes...
The story's a mix of police-procedural and magical-mystery, when a series of deaths suggest that something very strange is behind them. The cover-art rather gives away the idea that a cursed vehicle is involved, but the details of how and when it became cursed - and how that has resulted in the very different deaths - makes for an entertaining read.
The artwork's decent, though if you've read the books your mental image of the characters may differ from this interpretation. The multi-cultural cast is well presented, and the creepy scenes are very creepy indeed...
The book includes several bonus features, from river-goddess Beverly Brook dealing with some litterbugs to Toby the dog enjoying binge-watching zombie films (what with all those bones!)
[There's a TV Tropes page on the series, with some entertaining tidbits.]
