Hattie's summer isn't going as planned, her two best friends have abandoned her; Reuben has run off to Europe to find himself and Kat is in Edinburgh with her new girlfriend. Meanwhile Hattie is stuck at home and she's just discovered she's pregnant. Then she discovers she has a great aunt, Gloria who is in the early stages of dementia and they set off on a road trip.

This book explores dementia, growing up, unplanned pregnancy and choices made by different generations. It was an interesting book that was both funny and thought provoking.
