Bought secondhand because the book is on my wishlist.
Nice story. Interesting to read a bit more about Spanish colonial history and history of California. Could have done without the presentday romance part.

The second book I took from the bookbox :-) The way the story is built up reminds me of 'The Source', but happily it is much more loving and not that much about wars and religions. I have been reading as much as possible in thepas few days, devouring the story, and I am sorry I'm almost finished now...
