Synopsis:
A new terror is sweeping the streets of San Francisco. And the killers look a lot like cops...
As Detective Lindsay Boxer investigates whether the perpetrators are brilliant impostors or police officers gone rogue, she receives a chilling warning to back off.
On the other side of the city, an innocent woman is murdered in broad daylight in front of dozens of witnesses. But there are no clues and no apparent motive.
With killers in disguise, a maniac murderer on the loose, and danger getting ever closer to Lindsay's door, could this be one case too many for the Women's Murder Club?

Another good and quick read that keeps you guessing. A little bit more of a cliff-hanger at the end, than his books usually leave. Only wants to make me read the next one quicker. Got a few bookrays to finish first.

A bumper crop! This arrived safely with three others - and I did NOT have to pay duty, yay! Thanks so much for sending. I have a number of other books I have to read before these, so it may be a bit of time, but my impression is that this spiral has a relatively relaxed pace? Summer reading coming up, thanks!

Here as part of a bookcrossing spiral, it was fun to plunge back into Lindsey Boxer's universe. This one needs to travel on, but the others which arrived in the parcel can dally apparently with me longer.
I did find some aspects of this quite brutal and that's not my favorite type of read, but on the whole I enjoyed it.
The cliffhanger was a bit annoying in that it promises yet more brutality. We'll see.

Before I review the actual story, I just want to say (like I did with book 13), that this is not a Women’s Murder Club Book. Lindsey doing her usual, Cindy on tour, Yuki changing jobs and where the hell was Claire. Then add to the mix Joe getting is own storyline. However, I quite liked the plot. The action was maybe a little more violent that we get with the WMC and the description of one of the murders made me cringe. It did even make me feel a little worried for Lindsay’s life at times. BUT he left us on a bit of a cliff hanger so you have to read the next one.
Adding to the Crime & Mystery bookbox.
Arrived back in the Crime & Mystery Bookbox on 17th November which I set aside until I was ready to deal with sending it out again!
Wow, a well travelled book which I do not think I have read from this series yet so I will keep it on tbr mountain until I check.
