The people of Newfoundland deserve the recognition this book provides: this is a great story that came out of a horrible tragedy. If you enjoy this book, I highly recommend the musical Come from Away which is also based on what happened in Gander and the surrounding communities in the immediate aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001.

I chose this book from the Non Fiction VBB. I am looking forward to reading the story of how Newfoundland came to the aid of a plane load of displaced Americans on one of the most heart breaking days in U. S. history. Thank you Hyphen 8 for sharing.
