This is a book of short stories - all linked together by the device of a travel journal. At each place the mysterious traveller visits (on his journey through Greece) he sends a postcard to the girl who jilted him, to say where he is, and in his journal he tells a story that he has learned about that place. Another girl receives the cards because she moved into ..................... actually, just read it.
If you find the whole thing a bit contrived - don't worry! Regard it as a set of short stories. If you like Greece (I do) then you'll enjoy the traveller's tales.
