I got this softcover from a friend who's decluttering. It's a compilation of the comic books in the "Doomsday" arc, and (surprise!) ends with the death of Superman. Now, these days that would hardly cause anyone to blink, just to wait and see how (not "if") he'd be brought back, but when the story first came out the "Death is Cheap" trope wasn't quite as well-known. (OK, Doyle used it a century ago for Sherlock Holmes, but it wasn't that common for *Superman* until this storyline.)

I plan to leave this book in or near the Embassy Suites hotel on Winter St.; hope someone enjoys it!
