I'm a fan of both the Albert Campion books and the television adaptation starring Peter Davison. This novel, in which Campion loses his memory and finds himself embroiled in mysterious and dangerous circumstances, seems darker than the other Campion novels I'd read. It is also more of a spy thriller than a typical Golden Age mystery novel. I still enjoyed it very much, though it was different from what I'd expected.
I enjoy this series. It is well written and starts off with quite good speed. Different from others in this series but sure to please.
Back in my hands now.
