The Girl Before: A Novel
3 journalers for this copy...
An interesting read that explores personality disorders and the bearing they have on how a person behaves. Delaney uses the unreliable narrator quite well and the setting of this story is just as much of a character as the people. Soon to be a movie directed by Ron Howard.

Thank you for the tag! I looked forward to reading this.
It’s become almost a requirement to have a multiple POV tale these days, but as much as it’s been done, this was a good use of that device. The parallel tales of Emma (then) and Jane (now) build up as they deal with separate, but similar, personal challenges. Emma was dealing with an attack in her apartment, while Jane just recently lost her child. For different reasons, they both end up residing in an ultra modern, high tech house built by a famous architect. The house comes with some strange, creepily intrusive requirements, but there’s more upside than down to it...so they each move in. It is twisty and creepy and there’s a few misdirections...so it really kept up your interest. Good to the very end.
Sending in a box of books as a RABCK - need to move these on.
