Bought from the charity book table at Tesco's, Church Road, Hove

This book is a cross between Indiana Jones and James Bond! The story revolves around the US Army, Navy and Marines plus an armageddon terrorist organisation plus a few German Nazi's all chasing a piece of meteorite somewhere in Peru. The only clue to the location of the stone is written in an old monastic manuscript originally written in the 1500s. Linguist William Race is dragged into the hunt and is manipulated by all sides along the way....... with the plot gadgets getting a bit more bonkers as the story goes along! It almost feels as if the current gadget in use was invented "after the fact" of Race getting killed, in order to keep the story going a bit more, but it's still an entertaining read, if slightly far-fetched towards the end!
