I have just received this...I will try to start reading it tonight! Thank you, kab113! :D
I just finished this book last night & it's wonderful. It tells the stories of two intertwined families, the (Bangladeshi Muslim) Iqbals -main character Samad Iqbal-and the (non-religious) interracial Jones' -main character Archie Jones. It's modern fiction, spanning several decades, and is quite comical & literate...drags slightly when the Chalfen family is introduced in the late eighties, early nineties. I recommend this & encourage everyone to stick with it.

Liked the first chapters but a little slower now.
White teeth... was good to start but it has slowed. I started reading before journaling so for that I apologize. I currently have two books that I am reading but I imagine that I will done in a week or two at the very latest
