I borrowed this from my mom. It was really good. Even if they do get parts of the book away on the back. I rarely enjoy "classics" but this one was interesting, I also enjoyed the Afterword, that was interesting...
I enjoyed this classic adventure. It was fast and easy to read but gave a good overview of the era in which it is set. Like Chocolatefishy I also enjoyed the afterward.

I came into Port City Java to get a cup of coffee, and I found this book along with three others on the mantle over the gas log fireplace. What a great idea this is! I remember, many years ago, "checking out" a copy of Lincoln, by Gore Vidal, from the youth hostel in Reykavik, Iceland. I recycled it at a coffeeshop somewhere in America.
I haven't started reading the Jules Verne novel yet, but I'll definitely pass it on when I'm finished. Way to create the global village!
