I bought this book in a charity shop in Aylsham ,and as I already have a copy that I have read l will be releasing it into the wild very soon.
I really enjoyed reading this book, particularly as I belonged to the Saturday Telegraph Short Story Club that Louise was running a few years ago.She was actually writing Apple Tree Yard at that time .
She used to give us a prompt of about half a dozen words and we had to write a short story around them...I think it had to be around 2000 words. Then every month there was a short story competition which we could enter if we wished. The club ran for about 2 years before Louise gave it up due to commitments.One of the members carried it on for another year before the Telegraph pulled the plug.It was great fun.
