Boston Then and Now

I found this softcover at a local Savers thrift shop. It contains old and recent photos of many landmarks in Boston, in a compare-and-contrast format, with commentary on each. Given that this is Boston, some of the more famous historic locations look very similar in both photos - but others, especially in the more commercial parts of town, show wildly dramatic changes. The site of Fenway Park looks a LOT different, for one! And, amusingly, some places go backwards: there's an older photo of the Paul Revere house when it was in use as an apartment building and looked fairly modern, and then a more recent photo showing it after it was restored to its Colonial state...

I left this book, bagged against the elements, on a bench in Depot Park; hope someone enjoys it!
