I got this slightly-battered ex-library hardcover at a local Goodwill thrift shop. It's the tale of the famous 1925 serum-run by dogsled - but it features one of the lesser-known dogs; Balto got all the fame but he wasn't the only dog to make the trip. And Togo and team ran over 365 miles, to Balto's 55; credit where credit is due!

This book's epilogue notes that Togo never raced again, but other sources indicate he had a long and pleasant retirement.

I left this book, bagged against the elements, on the signboard at the Millpond trailhead; hope someone enjoys it!

Found this book at Mines Falls, picked it up and read it, cute story. Someone also left it with a newspaper clipping of the pets of the week to be adopted from the local shelter. I found that thoughtful and fitting for this book. I am going to reride this weekend in a family friendly place so others can enjoy!
