I haven't read this one. I had obviously planned to when I picked it up, but I’ve tried a bunch of Dickens' other books recently and found his work to be unnecessarily verbose... I think many of his books- like, for instance, David Copperfield- would have been better if they were condensed down to about half their length. (I just finished Great Expectations, which was not as bad.) This one is thick, with tiny type, and I feared it will take me a month to get through it, yet that it will only really contain a week's worth of story. Since I haven’t loved any of Dickens’ books all that much, I’ve decided to spare myself the time and pass this along for someone else to enjoy.
