A strange book! - The only thing I'm sure about is, that I did not understand it. - And though,... some how I liked it. Not all of it - but enough. In its best parts the book read like a mix of Matrix and Die letzte Welt by Christoph Ransmayr (In its worst parts it was an uncomprehendable sequence of words...).
Reist nun zu Lesenmachfroh. Ich wünsche viel Freude damit.

Dabei stellen sich mir zwei Herausforderungen: Ich bin Science Fiction und US-amerikanische Autoren nicht gewöhnt. Mir ist britsches Englisch viel geläufiger und ich bin gespannt ,wie oft ich ein Wort nachchlagen muss.
Mal schaun, wie ich damit zurecht komme. Vielen Dank auch für das schöne Foto von Uyuni.

20: Handlung spielt in der Zukunft
Das war wirklich eine Herausforderung. Ich habe keine Ahnung, wie ich mir all die Wesen, die darin vorkommen vorstellen soll, ebenso die große Herde der Drachen, die dutzende von Seiten lang wie im Viehtrieb zu einem bestimmten Ort gebracht werden sollten.
Science Fiction wird mir wohl auch weiterhin fremd bleiben.
An Christoph Ransmayr hat mich das Buch nicht erinnert. Aber das habe ich ja auf Deutsch gelesen.
