Thanks to AbeBooks, I got this hard cover for about $2. A poignant book, published in 1993. International tennis star (Men's Singles Champion at the US Open and Wimbledon), Arthur Ashe contracted AIDS when he had a blood transfusion for heart surgery. AIDS was pretty much a death sentence in the early 90's, and Ashe took what time he had left to write a beautiful, inspiring book. His life story is especially interesting to me, as a life-long tennis fan, but the ending is going to be oh, so sad. Kleenex will be close by as I read it. A tennis hero, and humanitarian hero.
