The Inuit (Watts Library)

I picked this up at the Reuse Center because they were doing a buy one, get one free sale for children's books. I grabbed a couple books that seemed like they would be a good fit for the Indigenous Peoples box that I am participating in.
This is a non-fiction former library book about the Inuit people, and offers a nice balance between history and modern life.

Added to the Indigenous Peoples Box
I found this slim softcover in the Indigenous Peoples bookbox. It's short enough that I opted to read it and replace it in the box for someone else. I appreciated a viewpoint of the sub-Arctic peoples, with the contrast between their traditional lifestyles and modern adaptations.
I’m taking this from the bookbox- to read, then take down to the Rez.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Though I had initially intended to release this, found it little big medicine, after Rafa‘s commitment was done we no longer have the children’s wopilla, and my friend who loved her also have these books to give to her grandchildren has sadly passed away. So I still still have it and now I am going to release it for neighborhood children to read and maybe learn a little bit about one of our indigenous peoples.
