Mary Fulbrook, FBA, a graduate of Cambridge and Harvard, is Professor of German History and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences at UCL. Previous and current professional roles include Chair of the Modern History Section of the British Academy, Chair of the German History Society, and Founding Joint Editor of "German History", as well as serving on the Academic Advisory Board of the Foundation for the former Nazi Concentration Camps at Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora, and the International Advisory Board of the Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation.
