The book has arrived. Thank you, David... especially for the book" when angels keep silent".

Story :
Probably the most beautiful love story of the year. "The World A self-confident woman, a wise, old man, plenty of sake, a bit of whitefish, and again and again a lotus root: Ingredients of this spring-like delicate and fascinatingly foreign love story from Japan. One evening, 37-year-old Tsukiko meets her much-older former Japanese teacher in a pub. Both live alone, everyone seeks the closeness of the other, yet remains respectful at a distance. Rarely has one described so subtly and at the same time insistently how two people gradually approach one another.

"😆 This is what everyday life can look like: never boring but lovingly exciting. Without any effort, the author achieves that one follows and goes every step and step of the main and secondary persons and takes part in every gesture and feels good about it. Hiromi Kawakami knows how to make every sip and bite tasty, you eat and drink with them, sometimes you are a bit" drunk yourself" or want to drink a beer (* from czech, for real :)) although you would otherwise prefer wine. ..
And in the end, there's love. That's a beautiful story.👍
