Set in the siege of Sarajevo, the story follows the lives of a baker, a man looking after his family and a neighbour, and a sniper. The cellist plays each day for 22 days on the site of a shelling to mark those killed in the blast.The tension and fear in the city is palpable and the bravery of the Sarajevans, wonderful.
