Beautiful little book to lift the spirit. I have a squirrel & a dove in my yard who feed and play together. They follow one another around all day long. They are always together just the 2. It is so sweet to watch.

This book is being released at the February BCinDC meet-up in the memory of Becky the daughter of fellow BC'er ResQGeek. Becky loved animals , especially horses and cats. She was born on Valentine's day. She would be 17 yo this year. Her favorite colors were red & pink.

I'm keeping this book to read. I'm familiar with the series as I bought one book of the series as a gift for my friend who is a volunteer at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. I love books that show how gentle animals can be.

I am currently reading this book for the February 2018 TIOLI challenge on LibraryThing to read a two-word-title without an article.

This was a very sweet book. It's about the friendships that developed between species of (mostly) animals who don't usually associate with each other. The stories are accompanied by beautiful photographs which highlight the warmth and affection each of the animal friends derives from and gives to the other.

My only complaint about this book is that, after a while, the stories seem to run into each other so that each individual story doesn't get the special attention it needs. I prefer to read a single nonfiction book about animal relationships for this reason. However, there often isn't enough to tell about just one animal's relationship with another animal.

I particularly liked the story that highlighted a dog's interaction with a school of dolphins. Now that was very unusual!

The challenge I eventually finished this book for was the July, 2018 TIOLI Rolling Challenge: Red White And Blue on LibraryThing. I used it for the letter "U" in the title.
