I selected this book at the recently re-opened The Book Thing of Baltimore. Thank you!

After selecting about 100 books, I went for lunch with my two friends to the nearby Papermoon Diner, a Baltimore icon. What fun!

I read another copy of this book in 2012. This is what I wrote about it after I read it.

Although this novel takes on the difficult challenges of one young man's personal problems, we come to understand his predicament through the eyes of a dog. This is not just an ordinary canine, but one who narrates this book, shares his philosophy, and holds great esteem for racing and race car drivers. This is all good because for Enzo, the dog, his love for Denny (Dennis Swift, the man) is the motivating factor of the book.

The story opens with Enzo in his declining years. He relates his memoirs from puppyhood through old age in a manner which had me howling with laughing and crying real tears. This story bounces along, quickly touching upon things happy and sad. It makes a heart-warming read and is sure to remain with me for a long time.

I'm releasing this book for...

*** The 2018 4 Elements Release Challenge hostedby Firegirl. The book title or author's name contains the word RAIN.
