There in energetic, yet ordered script, were six words:

Get her out of your house.

Rose has it all - the gorgeous children, the husband, the beautiful home. But then her best friend Polly comes to stay. Very soon, Rose's cosy world starts to fall apart at the seams - her baby falls dangerously ill, her husband is distracted - is Polly behind it all?

It appears that once you invite Polly into your home, it's very difficult to get her out again...

A gripping thriller that I really enjoyed. I did feel at first Rose was encouraging trouble when she took over Polly's boys but I found myself silently screaming at her not to fall for Polly's scheming! The tension built beautifully throughout although I was disappointed with the final few chapters, however in the last couple of paragraphs it managed to redeem itself :o)

I think what stopped me from liking this book more was that none of the characters were particularly likeable even Rose who I found really smug and annoying. Maybe at another time I'd have enjoyed it more!

If there is no interest from the Reading It Want it forum I'll drop it off at a local LFL.
