This is a story that will make you think. The Escape is a thriller and the plot moves along quickly with unexpected twists and turns. The characters are so well developed that I can literally see and hear them in my mind. The book is, also, a story about family, loyalty and relationships The Father of the main characters has Alzheimer's disease. Baldacci has created a character who is noble, loyal, intelligent, and daring but who is most importantly incredibly likeable. He is not without flaws, but those flaws make him human.

Enjoy! Left on the Regal Princess in the library. When I went back later it was gone. Hope whoever picked it up will journal the book.
