I got this softcover from the ongoing book-sale at the Whipple Free Library in New Boston, NH. It's a book of poems about the lives of penguins - often funny and charming, but also touching on the perils of their Antarctic existence, such as the riddle-sections about killer whales and leopard seals. More upbeat are the ones about young penguins looking for their parents on a crowded beach, or snuggling on their father's feet:
"To keep myself up off the ice,
I find my father's feet are nice.
I snuggle in his belly fluff,
And that's how I stay warm enough..."
