This ring has rolled in with a few other books, and joined a few rings and rays which seem to have decided to party here in the Swiss Alps... I'll try to sort them out and send them on their ways as soon as possible, but a new school term has just begun so things are busy work-wise as well. Thanks so much for making this available and for sending.
At times this reminded me of The Rosie Project au feminin. The main character is awkward and endearing, and generally searingly insightful. I greatly enjoyed her philosophical or ethical rants and musings and gobbled this up in almost one fell swoop. This is here thanks to a bookcrossing ring, and yet again I am grateful to discover an author and a book I was unfamiliar with before. I will confirm the address and hopefully get this sent soon.
This has gone from Switzerland to France, and now heads to Greece. Thanks so much for making this available and sending. enjoy!
On my opinion, this is is chick lit with a twist. I don't read this genre very often because I find the plots very predictable and repetitive and the characters unbelievable, superficial and usually annoying.
This book is no exception on those aspects and while the whole "philosophical" part added a different spark on the narration, it often got too long-worded and irking.
That said, I enjoyed this book more than I thought, maybe because I happened to read it ages after I last read anything of this genre and because I happened to be in the middle of havoc in terms of work and other issues, so I was in need of something light and frivolous. 6+/10
Thank you for the opportunity to read this. I've got Aramena's address and the book will soon continue its travels : )

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
...And off to USA it goes! Enjoy!
Arrived yesterday but I was so swamped at work I never got around to journaling it. I'm about half way through my current book, so I should start one sometime over the weekend.
I wasn't sure about this book at first, I found Carrie to be a bit insufferable. But she grew a bit over the course of the book and became more accepting and learned how to put herself out there and make friends, and I quite liked her by the end.
Adding to HI77's Bookbox of Intentional Variety, Bookbox #1.
Received from Armena in the Bookbox of Intentional Variety!
Deciding if I want to keep it or not.
