I've enjoyed others in O'Connor's "Olympians" series, including Hades, and picked up several more from Barnes and Noble.
This is another enjoyable entry, using the nine muses to tell Apollo's story, from his mother's trials at the hands of the ever-jealous Hera to his cruelty to the satyr/musician Marsyas (shudder!) to the sad fates of many of those whom Apollo loved, including poor Hyacinthus, slain by a jealous wind.
As always, the "G(r)eek Notes" at the end are worth reading, and the other bonus material is also informative.
[The TV Tropes page on the Olympians has some entertaining tidbits.]
