The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove

This book made the rounds with some of my friends. It is typical of Christopher Moore’s wild, wacky, and imaginative writing. In this tale, there has been a murder in the sleepy little tourist town of Pine Cove, California. If that isn’t bad enough, the musical sounds of a Blues guitarist brings a large sea monster out of it’s watery dwelling. The town psychiatrist decides to switch everybody, in town, from their antidepressants to placebos. Not surprisingly, the good folk of Pine Grove have been experiencing some crazy behaviors and unnatural happenings, leaving its poor constable to figure the whole thing out. An absurdly silly story, with some very colorful characters that you may or may not wish you could get to know better.
