Prue McKeel is keeping out of trouble. Or trying to. Then her baby brother is abducted by crows and hauled off to the woods beyond the city. It is up to Prue to bring him back. On her mission she is plunged into the world of Wildwood where she meets more trouble - and magic - than she over thought possible.

This was left behind in an office we were vacating. It's not something I'm likely to read but I wasn't letting it be put in the bin!

I didn't get on very well with this book, I found it really slow going and difficult to get into, I also found the characters rather annoying and unlikable, especially the parents of Prue, they in my eyes were very irresponsible. I won't say anymore or else I'll spoil the plot for the next reader

I am an older reader and my usual genre is crime thrillers, so a childs book I thought would make a quick light read. Well, I found it really heavy going. It took ages to get into, several times I was just going to give it up as a bad job. I stuck with it and the last few chapters I found really enjoyable. Chronicles of Narnia it isnt. But I feel that was where it was trying to go.
