Alex, who is a decade younger and is being pressured into choosing a medical specialty, likes his job as an ER physician. Fred brings the pair together when he jumps through the wrong fire escape window, but the age and maturity difference? Can it be overcome? Especially when both are trying to fit themselves into boxes that they both have tried to escape?
Nina's friend Chelsea, Alex's brother Max, and Norma, their elderly neighbor all add to the fun of the story...and oh, did I mention Fred?
(Thanks Denise for giving me the collection of Crusie novels way-back-when. I love these pick-me-up mood-altering guilty pleasures, which are better than the Oreos and amaretto-flavored chocolate milkshakes Chelsea, Nina, and Fred (of course) share. I space them out on purpose. <3
And thanks Edwina for her monthly themes that keeps going back to the shelves to find a book or books to fit...August's being dogs and pointing me the way to several that fit the theme. This and the Fern Michaels novel will be heading your way soon because I know you don't have any books to read. ;)

I happen to have a Bagle Hound, which is what they call a cross between a basset and a beagle, so I'm extra excited about reading this book. It looks like it will be an entertaining read!
