got it for Christmas 2017

Allzu ernst sollte man Don Tillmans Portrait also nicht nehmen.

Thanks also for the bookplates :-)

A very good book, most appealing and funny, it took me no time to finish it.
I liked the main character and his quirky ways of life, so endearing to follow his path to discovering how to 'act' around others...

It will go to the next reader on the ray.

The book arrived today! Thank you everyone for offering and keeping it on the move. This is a hectic time work-wise and with other issues, but I'll do my best to read it and pass it on asap!

To be honest I don't read this kind of books very often, because I usually find them too frivolous, very far-fetched, very predictable and I'm not fond of the message that all solutions are found through a cliche love/marriage happy end.

This books was no exception on those aspects and while one needs a light read every now and then and at first I found it was entertaining and I was enjoying it up to an extend, well... Half way through I started to wish it would finish soon because all the characters's actions and all plot developments kept becoming more and more predictable and more and more far-fetched and so I started feeling irritated and bored.

I might had enjoyed this more if a similar-ish book hadn't come in my hands only a few days ago through an other bookray or if I was in a more relaxed mood that I currently am in. I don't know.

While it wasn't a bad read, I don't get what all this hype is about... Rating a bit over 6/10, but the "a bit over" counts in favor of the author : )

Anyhow, thanks for the opportunity to give this book a try. It will soon be on its way to next in line.

...and off to Switzerland it goes! Enjoy!

Journal Entry 12 by wingMankyiwing at Zürich, Zürich Switzerland on Tuesday, July 03, 2018
The book has arrived at the rainy Zurich today. I have another book to finish before I can start this one but shouldn't take too long.

Thank you for making this happen!

Update ( from Goodreads): Ahh, this book was a pure pleasure to read! To be honest, I couldn't guess who was Rosie's father until the end. It would've been a disappointment if I could, though!

Don is such a cutie!:)

Solid 4 stars for the unusual plot and interesting characters! I'd love to read the next book as well.
