Monsieur Charlatan takes place in Paris of the early 1930s; the title character was once a celebrated private detective who solved cases in both Europe and the States made penniless by the Wall Street Crash and deserted by his fiancée Adeline.

The story may be set in Paris but there are flashbacks to New Orleans and plenty of action sequences to rival a Hollywood Blockbuster with daring balcony escapes car chases - or rather a bicycle chasing a car; all leading up to the dramatic showdown which takes place underground in the Parisian catacombs!

With absinthe hallucinations, love scenes and wanton brutality all making their mark upon the story, Monsieur Charlatan is a rip roaring adventure laced with some humor that is sure to leave you breathless and on the edge of your comfy sofa as you read!
