It was an interesting book!

I liked him as a child when he didn't like himself, and wasn't as keen on him at college and later in life when he seemed to not want to think about his behaviour. But to be honest I think he sounded like an introverted young boy with feelings and a grieving teen/young man trying to fit in and never quite succeeding.

It was also interesting reading it as an older woman who has never really fitted into the stereotype of having a well developed female feeling/nurturing/listening side. I've always been an extroverted, logical, problem solver, which throughout my life has given me similar/opposite gender problems to the ones he described in the book.

I loved this book and found it funny, thought-provoking, honest, self-aware (in hindsight!) and entertaining.

Thank very much for this book which has arrived safely in Edinburgh. I;m already half-way through it and really enjoying it. Am I the last on the list for this?

This was an interesting book. There were quite a few times when you really didn't like him because he was self-absorbed and selfish, but at least he was honest enough to include that in this book. I think he now seems like quite a likeable person (apart from his use of the c-word :-/ ) I also like that he is challenging the ideas of what makes a man. Thanks very much for sharing this PinnieB. I hope to get this moving again soon.
