Another copy of this wonderful book.

I loved this book when I read it as part of a book ring a few years ago. I was thrilled to find a copy in good condition in my local secondhand book store.
Here is my journal from reading it in 2005 - time to read it again!
"What a wonderful book, I will have to get a copy of my own to re-read again. I loved the way the author told us the story of the Bible from a woman's perspective. We know so little of the Old Testament women and the author really brought them to life for me. The tradition of the Red Tent was inspiring; and made the coming of womanhood such a celebration. I read this novel almost without stopping. I became immersed in Dinah's story and wept with her when she lost Shamel, when she sent her son away in order that he would live and as she lay dying".
