Bought second hand in Wellington, mainly for the title which seemed like it needed a themed release. I ended up reading it while recovering from a wisdom tooth extraction, when I needed something light and fluffy to read that wouldn't tax my brain through the haze of painkillers too much.

Pretty typical chick-lit, complete with all the usual clichés (gay best friend, complicated misunderstandings that could have been easily resolved if any of the characters actually communicated with each other, guy who's too perfect to be true...), but readable enough if you're not looking for intellectual engagement.

Caught at Welcome dinner at Bookcrossing Unconvention 2018.
It has taken me a while to get around to reading this, but saved it up for my holiday in Bali. I enjoyed it as it was a good standard chick lit novel, as it touched on a few issues, such as AIDS, gay relationships, difficulties in relationships, and body image and finding love.
Cath and Simon are really good friends from University. Cath feels fat and frumpy, so not looking for love, whereas Si is desperate to find a man to settle down with. Josh, their other friend from University is married to the beautiful Lucy, and has a son called Max. They all live near each other and have a close friendship, until the beautiful Portia comes back into their lives.
