Yet another thrift store acquisition. This one I bought, not to "try," but because I've already read and quite enjoyed the first book of the series. Though this one is fourth book and makes occasional references to the first two, much of the story stood on its own. Though I plan to read the second and third at some point, the absence of them in no way interfered with my ability to enjoy this one.
And like most oversize books (as hardcovers tend to be), limited shelf space means I will make the print copy available for some other reader to enjoy, and eventually acquire a digital copy to replace it for my permanent collection.
